Everything that makes your phone ring

Most of what a small business loses never shows up anywhere. It is the call that went to voicemail at ten past six, the quote nobody chased, and the customer who searched on a Tuesday and found somebody else. We build the things that stop that happening.

01 What we do

All of it, or the one piece you are missing.

Most businesses come to us for one of these and keep us for the rest, because it is all the same job. Tap the ones you need.

So they find you

So they get an answer

So the rest runs itself

What that adds up to

Pick what you need. Most start with one of these and keep us for the rest.

Most work is not lost to a competitor. It is lost to silence.

02 Who you actually get

Two people. Both of them answer the phone.

Everybody says they are small. Here is what small actually means: there are two of us, you get both our numbers, and the person who quotes the job is the person who builds it and the person who fixes it at nine on a Friday.

JourneyBuilds it

Writes the site, the Google work and the software. If something on your site is broken at eleven at night, this is the person who is awake looking at it.

Twelve years of building things that have to work on a phone in a truck with one bar of signal, which is a different job from building things that demo well.

IsaiahTalks to you first

Takes the first call, works out what the job actually is, and writes the quote. He will tell you on that call if we are the wrong people for it, which happens and costs you nothing.

He is also the one who calls you back, so you are never explaining your business twice to somebody new.

03 Why two people

Most agencies sell you a team. You wanted the work done.

What an agency gives youA team you pay for and rarely meet

  • An account manager relays what you said to someone you never speak to
  • The work goes to whoever is free, which is usually the newest person there
  • Every change is a ticket, and the ticket has a queue in front of it
  • A monthly retainer that buys a report rather than a result
  • Leaves the moment the contract does, taking everything it learned

What you get hereThe two people who build it

  • Trained on your prices, your hours, your service area and every job you have run
  • The person who built it is the person who fixes it
  • Changes get made the day you ask, not the sprint after
  • We build the website, the Google presence and the software as one thing
  • Small enough to care whether it actually worked

04 What we do not do

The fastest way to know if we are wrong for you.

Most agency sites only tell you what they sell. These are the jobs we turn down, and we would rather you read it now than find out three weeks in.

Twelve month contracts Everything is month to month. If we stop being worth it, leave, and take the site, the code and the logins with you. A contract is what you need when the work does not hold people on its own.

Rebuilding a site that is already fine If yours loads fast and says the right things, we will tell you to keep it and spend the money on Google instead. We have talked people out of a build more than once.

Guaranteed rankings Nobody can promise position one, and anyone who does is either lying or about to get your listing suspended. We will show you what we are actually doing and what moved.

Work we cannot do properly We are two people. If your job needs a team of nine, or an industry we do not understand, we will say so on the first call and point you somewhere better.

05 How it works

A call, then something you can look at.

Ten minutes on the phone to hear what you sell and where the hours go. Then a price and a plan in writing, quoted on the actual work rather than a tier somebody picked for you.

01

Ten minutes on the phone What you sell, who calls you, and what time of day the phone gets away from you. If we are not the right people we say so on that call.

Same week
02

A price and a plan, in writing Quoted on the actual work rather than a tier somebody picked for you, with what it does, what it costs and when it is done.

No obligation
03

We build it, and we keep running it The same two people who quoted it. Changes get made the day you ask, and you keep everything if you ever leave.

06 Questions we get

The things people ask on the first call.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on how many pages, whether the copy exists, and whether anything has to talk to software you already run. That is not a dodge: quoting a number before we know those three things is how people end up paying for the wrong build.

Ten minutes on the phone is enough for us to give you a real number in writing, and there is no charge and no obligation for that call.

How long does it take?

A straightforward site is about two weeks from the day we have your content. The part that usually takes longest is not us building it, it is waiting on photos, prices and the answers to questions only you can answer. We will chase you for those, politely.

Do I own it, or am I renting it from you?

You own it. The domain stays in your name, the code is yours, and if you leave we hand over the logins and the files without an argument. We have seen too many businesses held hostage by whoever built their site in 2016.

What happens when I need something changed?

You text one of us and it gets changed that day, usually within the hour if it is small. There is no ticket, no queue and no account manager relaying it to somebody you have never spoken to.

Do you only work with trades?

Most of our work is trades and local service businesses, because that is where a missed call costs the most and where the phone is genuinely the whole business. But the job is the same for anybody whose customers find them on a phone and decide in five seconds.

We already have somebody doing our marketing.

Then keep them. We are happy to do only the piece nobody is covering, which is usually the website itself or the answering after hours. We would rather have a small job we do properly than talk you out of a relationship that is working.

07

Ten minutes on the phone and you will know whether this is worth it for you.

Tell us what you sell and where the hours go. If it does not pay for itself we will say so.
